Classes are held at the Keating centre (KC) Dance studio and the Alumni Aquatic Centre (AAC) pool.

DESCRIPTIONS

Aquacise  is a  medium intensity class that will challenge you to improve muscle endurance while improving your heart and lungs

Aqua Arthritis  is a low intensity water workout that provides an increase in range of motion for people suffering from limited mobility.

Aqua Power  is a medium intensity water workout that will push you to your personal best!

Aqua Move  is a fun moderate to high intensity workout put to music. Will give you total bodywork out and a spring in your step.

Cardio Pump blends high repetition, low weight resistance training with intervals of bodyweight exercises, simultaneously training your cardiorespiratory system while building muscular endurance...to fun, upbeat music!

Express Bootcamp  Classes consist of cardio, weight training, flexibility and all the things in between - each class is designed with modifications and progressions so that everyone feels challenged and successful. 

Gentle Yoga - This is a great class for students new to yoga or those with experience. The gentle movements in the class are designed to increase strength and flexibility while emphasizing relaxation. Postures are typically held for longer periods of time, allowing students to find a way to relax in to the movements."

Zumba ® -  The Zumba program is a latin-inspired, dance-fitness class that incorporates Latin and international music and dance movements, creating a dynamic, exciting, exhilarating, and effective fitness program. Zumba class combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body using an aerobic/fitness approach to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle-toning benefits.

PiYo LIVE combines the muscle-sculpting, core-strengthening benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility of flowing yoga movements.  You'll perform a series of high-intensity, low-impact moves that will work every single muscle for a long, lean, and incredibly defined physique.  No weights. No jumps.  Just hardcore results.

Foundation Yoga In this class the basic, foundational yoga postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. All levels welcomed.

Cardio Step Not your average 80's step class! Cardio step mixes traditional step with full-body HIIT inspired moves for a fun and challenging cardio workout. Who knew you could accomplish so much with just a step and some popular music? Suitable for all fitness levels.

Please note: 

  • Before becoming more active complete the PAR-Q to see if you should consult a doctor before particpating.
  • Drop-in Fee or Punch pass required to enter class (purchase at Welcome desk)
  • No admittance to group fitness classes 10 minutes after posted class start time
  • No bags or outdoor footwear permitted in dance studio
  • Classes are filled on a first come first serve basis
  • Dance Studio Room  capacity:  Yoga: 30 participants, Aerobics:  25 participants
  • No Group fitness classes on Stat/Civic Holidays
