    For the second straight week, StFX Athletics has four teams ranked in the U SPORTS Top Ten rankings: X-Women rugby No. 1, X-Men hockey No. 4, X-Women hockey No. 7 and X-Men soccer No. 7.

    The StFX X-Women skated to a narrow 3-2 victory over the visiting Mount Allison Mounties Saturday afternoon at the Charles V. Keating Centre.

    The U SPORTS No. 7 ranked StFX X-Women surpassed the visiting St. Thomas University Tommies 5-2 Friday evening in the AUS season-opening game for both teams at the Charles V. Keating Centre.

    StFX Athletics has four teams ranked in the most recent U SPORTS Top Ten release: X-Women rugby (1), X-Men hockey (4), X-Women hockey (7) and X-Men soccer (8).
  • X-Women 2-1 on Ontario exhibition trip

    The X-Women hockey team completed a three-game exhibition trip to Ontario with a 2-1 record. They earned wins over Guelph (4-3) and Toronto (5-4) and dropped a 1-0 decision to Waterloo.
  • Newest inductees enter StFX Sports Hall of Fame

    StFX Athletics was pleased to induct its 21st class into the StFX Sports Hall of Fame Thursday evening at the Schwartz auditorium. Joining the Hall as the 2017 inductees were three athletes:  John ‘Bunny’ Griffin (football), James ‘Jim’ Shea (football), Leanne MacDonald (women’s hockey) and one builder, journalist Gail MacDougall.
  • Huskies skate to 3-2 OT exhibition win over X-Women

    The Saint Mary’s Huskies skated to a 3-2 win in overtime over the StFX X-Women Saturday afternoon at the Keating Centre auxiliary arena. The victory avenged a 2-0 X-Women shutout in Halifax the evening before.

    David Synishin is stepping down from his head coaching position with the StFX X-Women hockey program. After 14 years of guiding the program, he plans to switch his career focus and spend more time with family.

    StFX Director of Athletics & Recreation Leo MacPherson is pleased to welcome Ben Berthiaume as the new head coach of the X-Women hockey program. Berthiaume takes over from David Synishin who recently stepped down from the head coaching role.
