Fan bus and floor tickets for AUS men's basketball on sale Wednesday

There will be a fan bus available for StFX students, travelling to the AUS Men’s Basketball Championship this weekend, March 1-3, at the Halifax Metro Centre.
The fan bus is open to any StFX student upon presentation of a valid StFX student ID card. Bus transportation is provided courtesy StFX Athletics and the StFX Students Union at no charge. Registration for the bus will be held during the following dates and times:
Wednesday, February 27: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm – Student Union Building
Thursday, February 28: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm (if necessary) – Oland Centre main lobby
Registration is first-come, first-serve. All travelers must register in-person and present their student ID. There are 45 seats available on the bus and all travelers must sign the StFX fan bus travel waiver form and adhere to the StFX University Fan Bus travel policies.
On Friday, March 1st the fan bus will depart the StFX Oland Centre promptly at 1:30 pm. Boarding of the bus shall take place at 1:00 pm. The bus will drop off fans to the StFX alumni pre-game reception at Durty Nelly’s Pub. Game time is 6:00 pm. The bus shall depart Halifax at 8:30 pm immediately following the game and will return travelers to the StFX Oland Centre.
Should the X-Men win on Friday night, the bus departure time on Saturday will also be 1:30 pm from the Oland Centre, boarding at 1:00 pm. The bus will drop off fans to the StFX alumni pre-game reception at Durty Nelly’s Pub. Game time is 6:00 pm. The bus shall depart Halifax immediately following the game.
Should the X-Men advance to the championship game on Sunday, the bus departure time on Sunday will be 10:30 am from the Oland Centre, boarding at 10:00 am. The bus will drop off fans to the Metro Centre and shall depart Halifax immediately following the game.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on StFX fan buses. Any violations of this policy shall be reported by Campus Police and dealt with via sanctions under the StFX Community Code.
There will also be floor tickets available for purchase by StFX students. The cost of the student floor tickets is $10 per game. Students must pay $30 for all three potential games at the time of registration, no exceptions. Should the X-Men not advance to Saturday and/or Sunday’s games, the $10 or $20 will be refunded to everyone on Monday beginning at 10:00 am in the Oland Centre main lobby.
Ticket purchase is on a first-come, first serve basis as per the same dates and times as listed above for the fan bus registration. Floor tickets are in an assigned section adjacent to the StFX bench in the Halifax Metro Centre. Tickets may be picked up at the Metro Centre box office will-call window in advance of each game.
