X-Women hockey forward Schyler Campbell was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 25, 2012. Schyler, a first year Human Kinetics student from Galloway, NB, scoring the game winning goal in a shootout in the X-Women’s 2-1 victory over Saint Mary’s on Friday night, helping the CIS ranked No. 7 X-Women improve to 10-1-0 on the season. Schyler is currently fifth overall in AUS scoring with 9 points (5 G, 4 A) in 11 games played, including 2 game-winning-goals.  She is second in plus/minus (+12) and total shots (45) and has made an immediate impact on the X-Women roster in her first season of AUS play.

X-Men basketball guard Terry Thomas was named the StFX Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 25, 2012. Terry, a third year Arts student from East Preston, N.S. was the leading X-Men scorer in two weekend games. In an 86-78 loss to Dalhousie on Friday night, Terry had a double-double game with 20 points and 11 rebounds, and added 4 assists and 3 blocks. In Saturday’s 77-69 win over Saint Mary’s, Terry scored 25 points and had 6 rebounds and 2 assists. A 2011-12 CIS All-Canadian, he is currently second overall in AUS scoring (21.3 ppg) and total points (128), leads the conference in blocks (12) and is fourth in rebounding (7.5 rpg) and total rebounds (45).
