X-Men basketball to face Capers in AUS quarterfinal
The StFX X-Men will tip-off against the Cape Breton Capers in the first AUS quarterfinal game at the Subway AUS championship on Friday evening, MArch 1st at 6:30 pm in Halifax.
The 2019 Subway AUS Men's Basketball Championship will be hosted by the AUS conference office at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, N.S., March 1-3, 2019.
The championship schedule is as follows: (seeding in brackets)
Friday, March 1
QF #1: StFX (5th) vs. Cape Breton (4th), 6:30 p.m.
QF #2: Memorial (6th) vs. Dalhousie (3rd), 8:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 2
SF #1: Winner QF #1 vs. Saint Mary's (1st), 6:30 p.m.
SF #2: Winner QF #2 vs. UNB (2nd), 8:30 p.m.
Sunday, March 3
Championship Game: Winner SF #1 vs. Winner SF #2, 4:30 p.m.

All games of championship will be broadcast live Bell Alliant's Fibe TV1 (channel 1) and available via webcast at www.AUStv.ca.

The AUS champion will advance to the 2019 U SPORTS Men's Basketball Final 8 championship, being hosted by Dalhousie March 8-10 at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, N.S. As hosts, the Dalhousie Tigers receive an automatic berth in the national championship. Should the Tigers claim the conference title, the second Atlantic conference berth at nationals will be awarded to the AUS runner up.
