2026-27 AUS basketball schedule announced

(HALIFAX, N.S.) Atlantic University Sport is pleased to announce the complete schedule for the 2026-27 women's and men's basketball seasons.
All of the 2026-27 AUS winter sport schedules were released this week—including women's volleyball, curling, swimming, track and field, hockey and basketball.
Women's and Men's Basketball
The 2026-27 AUS basketball season is set to begin on Friday, Oct. 23, with three doubleheaders set for 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. AT.
The reigning AUS women's basketball champions and U SPORTS bronze medallists, the UNB REDS will open their season at home versus the Memorial Sea-Hawks.
The defending AUS men's basketball champion Acadia Axemen will open their season at home, hosting the Dalhousie Tigers.
The fall portion of the schedule wraps up on Saturday, Nov. 28, with teams returning to the hardwood for the second half on Friday, Jan. 8. Regular season play finishes on Saturday, Feb. 20.
The 2027 Bell AUS Basketball Championships return to Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, N.S. Feb. 26 to 28, with the top six women's teams and the top six men's teams competing for the conference titles.
Two weeks later, the U SPORTS national championships will be held concurrently at Scotiabank Centre with Acadia playing host to the women's championship and Dalhousie hosting the men's championship March 11-14 in Halifax, N.S.
The Atlantic conference will have two berths per side at the national championships—awarded to the hosts and the AUS champions. Should either host capture the conference title, the second AUS berth will be awarded to the runner-up.
