Getting to Know...Matthew Phillip

X-Men Hockey forward Matthew Philip is the latest athlete featured in the Getting to Know your X-Women/X-Men series this summer. The Ilderton, Ont. native recently completed his second year at StFX in the BBA program.

Pregame Routine: Taking an ice bath in the morning 

Go-to warm-up song: Bleed It Out by Linkin Park 

Favourite moment to date as a StFX student-athlete: Going to nationals and winning a bronze medal 

When I'm not studying or playing my sport, I like to: Watch movies 

If I could trade lives with anyone for one day, it would be: Tom Brady, because he is a very vocal leader and I admire the way he is always fighting and giving everything he's got on and off the field 

The next place I want to travel is: Hawaii 

My biggest pet peeve is: People who don't say thank you for holding a door open 

One thing on my bucket list is: Skydiving
