Getting to Know...Caroline Hrabinski

X-Women basketball guard Caroline Hrabinski is the latest athlete featured in our Getting to Know your X-Women and X-Men series throughout the summer. Caroline is a second year business student from Toronto, Ont.

If I could be StFX President for a day I would?
Give students the day off so they could catch up on some of their work. I would also just bring a bunch of puppies and dogs onto the campus and have it as a stress relief sort of activity to take students minds off their work.

A unique talent or skill I have is?
I was a gymnast and was also in a flying trapeze when I was younger. Two things very different from basketball.

When I am not studying or playing my sport, in my spare time I like to?
I love to cook and bake.

If I could have lunch with anyone in the world, it would be with?
Gordon Ramsay because I know I would be getting amazing food, and if it wasn't up to his standards he'd yell at them and send it back.

My biggest pet peeve is?
People chewing with their mouths open.

My dream job is?
I love watching Grey's Anatomy so I would be lying if I didn't say becoming a surgeon. But more realistically something in business, but I still have 3 more years to figure it out.

If I could compete in any other sport at StFX it would be?
I'd love to try and play rugby.

If I could come out at the start of a game to an entrance song, it would be?
I honestly don't have an answer, I'd be fine with anything.

Something interesting about my hometown is?
Coming from Toronto we have a lot of things that are interesting. Something great about my neighbourhood is that we have some of the best ice cream in Toronto, and we have a 7km boardwalk on the beach to Lake Ontario. 

My favorite moment to date as a StFX student-athlete is?
Our last game against UPEI at X. We always struggled with UPEI and this game was our last game of the season. We just pushed the game into overtime and just narrowly lost. It wasn't the result we would have wanted but it was a good ending to my rookie season.
