Bio
Originally from Mogilev, Belarus, Ekaterina Karchevskaya played four pro seasons with Tsmoki Minsk, including two in the FIBA EuroCup, before joining the X-Women in 2022. Her playing career also included appearances with both the Belarus senior women’s national team as well as the Belarus national 3x3 team. Upon arriving in Antigonish, Kat quickly emerged as one of the team’s most impactful players. She finished her StFX playing career as a two-time AUS second-team all-star and two-time team MVP, and is 10th all-time in points per game in X-Women history.
Ekaterina will rely on her international experience and the guidance she received from former X-Women head coach Doc Ryan as she focuses her coaching on player development with the forwards and centers. She brings tremendous attention to detail on the court which is backed up by her leadership and experience.
